I met Jenny Wood in 2008 and the first things she said to me was, "Miles, you should really iron your shirt before you leave the house" She asked me to play drums for her at a show the following week and we began a short but intense musical relationship. Jenny Wood writes dark melodic progressive pop songs, or as she likes to call it, sad Disney. We spent three days at The Bomb Shelter in east Nashville and recorded an album with Gunslinger as her backing band. Two weeks later, we went out on the road for 3 weeks, Gunslinger and Jenny Wood. We would go back and forth between her songs and Gunslinger songs, creating an interesting balance of dark melodic vocal based songs and crazy hard driving instrumentals.
